Allana Elovson, Ph.D.
is a psychologist, educator, and parent education consultant. A graduate of Columbia University, where she received her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D., her work has focused on early learning and the impact of socialization on intelligence and the ability to learn. As the founding director of California's Home Start program and San Diego's Childcare Information Network, she worked extensively with families from many ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Dr. Elovson has taught in colleges and universities in New York and California, and currently conducts workshops and seminars for parent groups, teachers, school systems and corporations.
